# How do we calculate upper control limit and lower control limit for a moving average of sales

Hi,

I am trying to calculate moving average of daily sales along with the upper control limit and lower control limit. I have managed to get the moving average of daily sales, however I am not sure how to create upper control limit and lower control limit. My control value for n = 7.

Could anyone assist, thanks.

Hi, Taukheer

Not sure what do you mean upper limit and lower limit, is it the stand deviation as shown below?

Hi Tushar  More,

I tried following the video on control charts but was able to build file attached. I am trying to calculate upper and lower control limits using last 7 days sales (moving average). Could you please help me as the outliers are not updated based on the limits that change as per SD selected in the parameter. Could you please assist.

Zhouyi Zhang, yep it is the SD but I am trying to calculate using moving average for the previous 7 days instead of daily actuals. Could you please assist on this, thanks..
