Stopping individual background tasks is not a feature currently built into Tableau Server. Is there a particular issue you are trying to solve? Maybe we could come up with a different solution!
I know that there is no such solution in Tablea's built-in structure.
I want to manually stop Tableau Extract processes.
I have a solution on the windows side but my wish is to find a solution on ubuntu linux server side.
For windows Server : Stopping a 9.x Tableau Server Background Task (Windows)
For Linux Server: ?

I tried to adapt to the linux side by taking the solution of the above "windows solution" as a reference and got a successful result.
1-) *First look at the Tableau Browser screen.
2-) *The process in "in progress" is selected.
*** "localhost 3" be taken into account
3-)*The "putty tool" connects to the server.(Linux Tableau server authentication login)
4-)*** run command "top -u tableau -c"
5-)*** In the "command" section, look for "localhost 3" manually. The "command" part looks at the long one
the pid is looked at.
6-)the corresponding pid is killed in the final process.
*** run command "sudo kill <pid>"
