    how to create change in age profile chart

      Dear All,

       

      I am trying to create bar chart that shows the % change in age profile from 2015 to 2017. It looks something like this but I want to show the change in % rather than actual number:

      I currently have 2 dataset as follows (not sure if I need to merge the data in excel first?):

       

      Staff Profile in 2015

      Staff ID     Age Group      Year

      1               15 - 19               2015

      2               15 - 19               2015   

      3               15 - 19               2015 

      4               20 - 24               2015 

      5               20 - 24               2015

       

      Staff Profile in 2017

      Staff ID     Age Group      Year

      1               15 - 19               2017

      2               20 - 24               2017   

      3               20 - 24               2017 

      4               20 - 24               2017 

      5               20 - 24               2017

       

      So based on the above datasets, the desired graph should show 66% decrease for the 15 - 19 age group and 50% increase for the 20 - 24 age group.

       

      Appreciate if someone could provide me with a step by step guide on how I can achieve this graph, please

          Hi Jason,

           

          It's better to union the tables.

          As a solution you can apply the following calculation:

          {FIXED [Segment]: SUM(

              IF YEAR([Order Date]) = 2017

              THEN [Sales]

              END)}

          /

          {FIXED [Segment]: SUM(

              IF YEAR([Order Date]) = 2014

              THEN [Sales]

              END)}

          - 1
