    Snapshot by quarter

    sandy.pathu

      Hi

I need to show the snapshot by quarter for open items.  Like number of open item snapshot by end of each quarter.

I have to show the total open items without cumulative calculation.

Can someone please help me to figure this out.

      Thanks

      Sandy.

          Hi Sandy,

Please provide a workbook in .tbwx format so the community will have an idea how the data is structured.

          Upfront thanks a TON.

          Regards,

          Norbert

            Hi Norbert,

I cannot attach a workbook as it is restricted but I can give you an example.

            total open items are 10.

out of 10, 5 items were open in q1 and 3 were closed in q4. In between q2  2 items were opened and q3 3 items were open.

            Q1

            5

            Q2

            7

            Q3

            10

            Q4

            7

the open should be counted in all the quarters until it gets closed in q4.

in my case it is doing only by quarter. It is not getting counted in other quarters even though it is open till q4.

            I hope this info helps.

            thanks

            Sandy.

              Hi Sandy,

Not sure but find my approach based as reference below and stored in attached workbook version 10.3 located in the original thread.

Upfront based on the  following datastructuur

              1. D1. date (Quarters):

              2. M1. open/closed: if attr([status])="open" then count([status]) elseif attr([status])="closed" then count([status])*-1 END

              3. M2. Display: RUNNING_SUM([M1. open/closed])

              4. Drag the required objects to the indicated location

              Regards,

              Norbert
