1. Re: How to create time-series X-axis where Month above Year

Hi Ryan
Not exactly what you want but see below
I changed the date to MY and then added an Index() to the column shelf - then made it discrete and placed it before the date dimension - that forced the date to the bottom
I then un-selected show header on the index
Maybe someone else knows another way
Jim

Ryan Gregg Jan 5, 2018 8:35 AM (in response to Jim Dehner)Hi Jim, not exactly what I want. My goal is to eliminate the repetition of the year 2017 to eliminate clutter but position the year below the month so the audience does not have to jump from the top of the graph to the bottom.

This may not quite be there, but the Automatic Subtitle might help (with the top year header hidden
and a [space] for the Title):

Ryan Gregg Jan 5, 2018 12:44 PM (in response to swaroop.gantela)Thanks swaroop.gantela, its a good work around.
I can't figure out how to delete the brackets from the Year. Also, because Month is continuous, the Month axis labels are offset from the bar which looks unusual.

swaroop.gantela Jan 5, 2018 1:52 PM (in response to Ryan Gregg)Ryan,
I don't think there is a way to remove the brackets.
With respect to the month labels, I think the best that can be done is to rotate the labels as
shown below. Any other adjustment to the Date format will remove the Subtitle.
