I looked at your data and am confused - can you explain why there are 2 records for each date - i.e. 11/11/16 and 11/11/16 1 ?
My apologies, it is a typo.
I made the file simpler. I just want to show both months on top of each other, Dec 2017 as a bar chart and Dec 16 as a line chart. Not sure if this is possible.

Good morning - see the attached
several things here -
1 - I pivoted all the date data - you had just pivoted 1 date - start by removing the pivot then highlighting all the date columns and select any header and "Pivot"
2- the data came in not as dates Change the Day to a date
3 your cost data came in as text change it to a number and make it a measure
the Percent difference is a table calculation
now your chart will look like this convert to dual axis
this is how you get the different types of charts on the viz
edit the right axis to look like this(right click the axis and select edit)
