We recently enabled Kerberos authentication on our Tableau server environment.
We have a multi node (primary - worker) setup.
SPN's were set. Keytabs created. Test configuration - was successful.
Post restart, we could login to tableau server url.
However, while logging from Desktop we got Kerberos 500
An unknown error related to remote content was detected (500)
Do we have to configure krb5.ini for desktop?
Tableau desktop should read this file from a particular location?
Hi Atul Bhagwat
First you try restarting the server and then restart the machine running Tableau desktop.
If that doesn't fix, try reestablishing your data connections and confirm that you are pointing to the right tables.
If you still see the issue..you can capture the desktop logs and create a Tableau support ticket.
Thanks & Regards
