In the pictures attached you show the connection without brand field, which is an extract that lives on Tableau Server and therefore you would have to update/refresh there. If that has not worked, I would recommend to publish your live connection to overwrite the current extract.
Here is a blog post explaining the different icons and why the data might not be refreshing:
I hope this helps.
I created a lot of calculation fields (more than 100) in the workbook. If I create a live connection again and replaced it by extract , all my calculation fields will dissappeared. Is this possible to refresh an extract from my workbook (Tableau Desktop)? And How?
I read the article you send. All what I found is the recommendation to use the option : Refresh from data source using Tableau Desktop. But it doesn't work :/
Do you have any other ideas? I relly stuck on this problem
It looks like you have tried the refresh but it's difficult to say why it's not working. As a workaround, you can replace the extract with live connection in your workbook (Tableau Desktop). The calculations should remain in your workbook as long as your data fields have not changed name but a handy tip is that you can copy and paste calculations from workbook to workbook.
1. Save a back-up workbook
2. Have the two connections in workbook
3. Replace datasource
4. If your fields have an error (change in name or datatype) you can replace references, like so:
Hope this helps.
What data source are you using?
It is work and I am so happy. I didn't know that all my created calculation field will be overtaken in the new data sources. Is it new?
How ever thank you so much!
