Thanks for the headsup Shin, I'll be starting 10.5 testing next week on TS and TD - I'll make sure I look into it.

Got an answer from Tableau and it's No.
So, you can enjoy HYPER only on Desktop, provided you only use that view on Local use.
If you plan to publish the view with Extracting Data source to Tableau server which is 10.4 or below version,
you cannot use Desktop 10.5, and need to use 10.4.
10.5 Desktop does not work with extracting data to 10.4 Server,
- You cannot publish data source (as TDE), nor packaged workbook.
- You can publish workbook with downgrading to 10.4 or lower, only in case it's live connection.
It's OK that we cannot use HYPER, but I'm little bit disappointed that we cannot use "NON-EQUI-JOIN" on 10.4 server environment.
A useful hint: if you have upgraded your tableau documents to 10.5 and now realise that you can no longer publish them (to an older server), you can go to file-> Export (you will see V10.4 and 10.3 and 10.2 I think).
Export to 10.4, save and quit Tableau. Uninstall v10.5, install 10.4 and open the exported file - like this you do not have to lose any development you have done on tableau desktop in v10.5, if you downgrade to 10.4
