Hi I've got 6 dimensions (questions from a survey, Q1, Q2...) that have a common set of 5 answers (A, B, C, D, none of these). What I'd like to do is set them in one chart. Now if they were measures, I'd have measure names and measure values as my rows/columns. I basically want that, but with categorical information as the measure values. When I try that, the categories make a sort of "tree". I've got 384 marks, but I only really want 30. Is there a known way to do this? I've been cheating by just making 6 graphs and sticking them together in a dashboard, but now whenever I want to change something about the page layout or how the graphs are formatted I have to change it 6 times.
Hello Will,
I am curious if you could provide a screen shot or possibly a copy of the workbook demonstrating the 'tree' that is being created. Additionally, in the meantime I did find a blog post about preparing survey data for Tableau: How to prep your survey data using only Tableau 10 and beyond | Tableau Software
I hope this helps!
Cheers,
Byrne, Patrick
