Use the latest date of a data set to implement another

      Hi Tableau community,

I am having a bit of challenge with an automatic filter which display a certain amount of quarter. Let me explain.

Imagine 2 set of data (Not join, neither blended). One data is the contract purchased, the other is the contracts expired/about to expire.

      Purchased quarter (data set 1)

      20171

      20172

      20173

      20174

      20181

      Expiring Quarter (data set 2)

      20173

      20174

      20181

      20182

      20183

I would like to display a view of expiring quarter starting from the last quarter of the purchased quarter.

I cannot use a if statement such as "IF [expiring quarter] >= max([purchased quarter] then "Y" else "N" "  because it compare an aggregate with a non-aggregate.

i tried to look for a parameter implemented by a calculated field but did not find any solution.

Would anyone have an idea to implement this view.

      Regards,

      Alex
