Are you able to open Tableau Desktop and create a new workbook without issue? Do you know if your Windows 7 machine had the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Tableau Desktop installed vs. which version is installed now?
What may be happening is a known issue that can occur when opening a workbook that was created in a previous version. There are a couple of possible solutions:
- Upgrade to Tableau Desktop 10.0.3 or higher
- Download and install the 32-bit version of Tableau Desktop 10
