2. Re: Error Bars in Tableau
Rajesh Avula Sep 10, 2017 7:25 AM (in response to Norbert Maijoor)I have seen the Box and whiskers plots. I am attaching an excel sheet. In my case there are two averages ([Priority, m] and [Value, m]) and two standard Deviations ([Priority, s] and [Value, s]). so there will be two worksheets where.
Worksheet 1: [Priority, m] vs[Priority, s] where i will keep [Ideas] Dimension in the colors of marks card.
Worksheet 1: [Value, m] vs[Value, s] where i will keep [Ideas] Dimension in the colors of marks card.
I tried with box and whisker but i am not getting the desired view ( I want a chart where the center point should be mean and whiskers should be standard deviation.). It would be great if you go through my excel and see how to achieve it. Thanks,

8. Re: Error Bars in Tableau
Rajesh Avula Sep 10, 2017 2:00 PM (in response to Norbert Maijoor)Thanks for helping me. Thats is what I am looking for. Can we do in a different way
Instead of two worksheets can we combine two worksheets into single one. By keeping
1) AVG[Value, m] in Rows,
2) AVG[Priority, m] in columns
3) [Idea] to the color in Mark card.
4) AVG([top]), AVG([top Value]), AVG([bottom]), AVG([bottom Value]) to the tool tip.
I am looking for a result like this where each circle has both Priority and value Reference bands. Thanks.
