Just a quick question regarding permissions, hopefully the issue is clear enough.
Currently we handle permissions via Tableau online i.e. which user groups/users are able to view/consume specific content located within projects etc. This requires us to have to identify each user and allocate them to a specified group.
In the future we would like to handle permissions via a our own company website -- whereas all of our content would be open to those with valid log in credentials i.e. one set of shared credentials for each of our clients (multiple users per company). This way if a client company of say 20 expands to 40, they will all have credentials to consume content.

It's most likely a violation of your license terms for Tableau Online (specifically the sharing of credentials).
I would discuss this with your account manager at Tableau.
