Hi all,
I have the following dataset:
Step | Object | Status | Other Columns ... |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Point A | success | ... |
1 | Point B | success | ... |
1 | Point C | success | ... |
1 | Point D | success | ... |
2 | Point AA | success | ... |
2 | Point BB | success | ... |
2 | Point CC | success | ... |
3 | Point AAAA | success | ... |
3 | Point BBBB | success | ... |
3 | Point CCCC | success | ... |
3 | Point DDDD | success | ... |
Is it possible to calculate RANK of the rows inside window {Step} like this { FIXED [Step] : RANK([Object]) } I want to get result bellow
Step | Object | Rank | Status | Other Columns ... |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Point A | 1 | success | ... |
1 | Point B | 2 | success | ... |
1 | Point C | 3 | success | ... |
1 | Point D | 4 | success | ... |
2 | Point AA | 1 | success | ... |
2 | Point BB | 2 | success | ... |
2 | Point CC | 3 | success | ... |
3 | Point AAAA | 1 | success | ... |
3 | Point BBBB | 2 | success | ... |
3 | Point CCCC | 3 | success | ... |
3 | Point DDDD | 4 | success | ... |
Cheers,

Yes, it is possible. Mock up a packaged workbook using your dataset, and look into the RANK() functions (Table Calculations). If you're not familiar with Table Calcs, I can help you get it started/set up once a workbook is posted. Cheers!
You may just use the same calculation twice, with different scopes/directions via the "Compute Using" or specific dimensions selected when editing the table calculation.
