I would just use the live hosted version... you can simply put this in the URL of the Web Connector in Tableau: Elasticsearch Tableau Web Data Connector
Another option is Dremio, a new open source project for connecting Elasticsearch and other data sources to Tableau. Dremio gives you full SQL access, and provides tight integration with Tableau. Dremio runs live queries against Elasticsearch, which might be a useful alternative to creating an extract (TDE) like the WDC linked above. Each approach has advantages.
