Joanne Zhou Apr 13, 2017 6:44 AM (in response to Deepak Rai)Hi Deepak,
Thank you for your quick reply.
I am sorry, I could not tell whether this is different from what I had in the second worksheet "Order Summary Stacked Bar Chart" in my original file. If you go over to that tab, you can see that it doesn't work.

Deepak Rai Apr 13, 2017 6:50 AM (in response to Joanne Zhou)Hi Joanne
I already checked it. You wanted to divide a single person's order as per his position. I already tested it at different levels of %N so if you download workbook and move slider you would get additional people with respective roles.
HOpe it helps
THanks

Joanne Zhou Apr 13, 2017 7:08 AM (in response to Deepak Rai)I am sorry, Deepak. Could you explain what you did different? From the screenshot, our solutions are the same. I really appreciate your help.
I am unable to open your workbook due to my older version. My organization upgrade together to ensure consistency.

Deepak Rai Apr 13, 2017 9:08 AM (in response to Joanne Zhou)1 of 1 people found this helpfulHi Joanne,
Our Solutions are not Same. Check the screenshots for different levels of N. Essentially, since your moving roles to color did not work, I worked through the logic and moved the role to columns along with order entered by. That gave me side by side Charts and I went to Show more and clicked on Stacked Chart to get this. The same thing does not work if you move the Roles to color, Though. Check the Screenshots and if it is helpful, Please mark it Helpful and CORRECT to Close Thread.
Thanks
Deepak
For N=10

Joanne Zhou Apr 13, 2017 9:44 AM (in response to Deepak Rai)Thank you, Deepak! I will give you a million "likes" for this answer! Thank you so much for the explanation.
Then the question to Tableau: from where I can see that our two design are different? We obviously get different result by going through different process. However, if I look at the worksheet, I really haven't found the difference.

Joanne Zhou Apr 13, 2017 9:51 AM (in response to Joanne Zhou)I think what makes the result procedure-dependent is the way the "Cumulative Percent of Total" is calculated". I will try to fix that later. Thanks again, Deepak.
