Last N days from date selected

    Manoj Ramachandra

Hi Friends - I am having trouble finding solution for below requirement.

I have 2 tables, each in one worksheet and I want to display two worksheets(tables)  in a dashboard. One table chart has to display data FILTERED for DATE SELECTED - 7days and the other table has to display data for only the DATE SELECTED(just for that day). but the trick here is I need to single date filter selection for both tables(quick filter or parameter anything should work). So once I select the date, the two charts should show data for date selected - 7 and date selected respectively.

Can anyone help me with this ?

      Thanks,

      Manoj R

          Hi Manoj,

          Please follow below steps.

          1. Create a parameter (say 'Select Date') with date data type. Select list as type of Parameter. Populate the Parameter using a field in data source or manually.

          2. Create a calculated field like 'worksheet A filter'. It should look like below

[Your Date Column] < Dateadd('day', -7, [Select Date])

          3. Create a calculated field like 'worksheet B filter'. It should look like below

[Your Date Column] = [Select Date]

          4. Drop these fields on the filter shelves of respective sheets and you should be set.

          5. Select a date from Parameter and your viz should update.

          Best,

          Sujay

            Hi Manoj

I'm not sure I'm on right track or not, but here is a one idea with filtering. (Not using parameter)

[lookup Date]  // On primary Data source

            lookup(min([Date]),0)

[Last Seven Value]  // On 2nd data source

            window_sum(sum([Value]),-6,0)

            Thanks,

            Shin
