    Decryption of field values

      Hi,

       

      Is there a way in tableau to decrypt the database field values at report level?I have a requirement to decode the field values using Algorithm : PBEWithMD5AndTripleDES.

          HI Bhaskar

           

          Short answer is no.

          Tableau is a reporting tool, and therefore has functionality relating to data connection(s), manipulation and display/ consumption

          Not encoding & decoding.

           

          It will need to be done in the step before conneting the data to tableau, unless your able to decode via tableau's existing functions (which i assume you can't)
