    Conditional Formatting using color

    Jamie Hubler

      Hello all,

I have a dashboard set up where we have two different bar charts.  One with Sales by product line with a shape to show where projections are.  My manager is now asking me if I can apply conditional formatting to the chart so that if sales (the bars) are greater than Projections (I used a shape to show where projections are in the same area) the bars are then Green and red if sales are below projections.  I was searching If statements and understand them, however, I don't know if these are relevant when trying to conditionally format with color.

I apologize that I do not have a picture to send.  I have Tableau 9.3 on my desktop, and the viewer, 10.1, won't work with this version.

Any help with applying colors by way of conditional formatting would be greatly appreciated.

      Thank you!
