Date range example in tabcmd URL ?

    Zsolt Habony

      Hi,

I have succesfully submitted a tabcmd command using a parameter in the URL to set a parameter. I used the parameter name and the value as it pops up on the screen.

I can parameter any field, but there is Data Range field as well which I am not able to parameter successfully.

      WORKS:

      C:\Program Files\Tableau\Tableau Server\10.0\extras\Command Line Utility>tabcmd get -u myuser -p mypassword --no-certcheck -s https://mytableaulink.com  views/OurDashboard/Overview?Account%20Name=Acme&Sub%20Request%20Type=Validation -f "C:\outputdir\result.pdf"

      Cannot make work:

      C:\Program Files\Tableau\Tableau Server\10.0\extras\Command Line Utility>tabcmd get -u myuser -p mypassword --no-certcheck -s https://mytableaulink.com  views/OurDashboard/Overview?Account%20Name=Acme&Sub%20Request%20Type=Validation&Date%20Opened%20(Pacific%20Time)=2016-01-01%2012:00:00;2016-12-31%2012:00:00" -f "C:\outputdir\result.pdf"

I tried to use the data range as it pops up in the report like "1/1/2016 12:00:00 AM to 12/31/2016 12:00:00 AM"  or using ; or , as separator, it is ignored.

I have read different workarounds how to name the date fields then use the values but, I am not administrator, thus I cannot modify the view, I can just use as it is.

Do you know a way to send a date range parameter via URL ?

      Thank you.
