The one that you have highlighted are not axis marks. Those are row/column borders.
Right click on worksheet and select format. ON the format menu select the Borders icon (represented by a square with a grid) and then move to Row Divider and Columns Divider section. Either set the row divider line to 'None' or white color and you should be able to get rid of the borders.

As Sujay has already mentioned its not axis grid. You have to off the pane dividers (rows and columns). Follow the screen shot

1) Please check if you turn OFF
both Axis Rulers and Grid Lines
of your SUM(1) Green Pill on a view.
2) Please check if you turn OFF
Accelerated Graphics. It's under
Help --> Settings and Performance.
