You can do this. Apply the data source filter in your 'master data source' workbook then republish the data source with the filter applied.
Thanks Andrew. I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to apply the filter at the data source level. The date function only lets me do relevant dates, but I'm not sure how to exclude the current day. If you could help me with that, I would really appreciate it.
Create a calculated field, something like [DateField] = TODAY(). Set it to False in the Data Source filters.

Instead of starting a new topic, I figured that I would just piggyback on this one since my question is related.
I too need to apply a data source filter so that the date is in the last 2 years, BUT ONLY for users in a specific group.
For instance, if the user is in security group 'External', the data source should be filtered to only the last 2 years. Otherwise, all years in the data source should be returned.
I've got a calculated field ISMEMBEROF('External') already but how do I apply a data source filter that says when this is true, limit the date field to only 2 years??
