How to join two or more "result sets"

    Dries Coucke

We're an online market place where users can contact sellers.

What we can do: create three "result sets"

We can easily create three data sources:

      ALL USERS WHO REGISTERED

ALL USERS WHO CONTACTED A SELLER
ALL USERS WHO MADE A PURCHASE

What we're struggling with:  joining these "result sets"

We would like to know: what percentage of registered users contacted a seller. And what percentage of users that contacted a seller made a purchase.

If you think of the above data sources as some kind of tables, the question would be: how can we outer join these three tables.

Data blending did not provide the required results because we need count distinct

We've tried data blending, but that did not work because you need to do a distinct count of all users who contacted a seller divided by all users who registered.

      On a final note

We would like to set this up once and refresh the result on a monthly basis, rather than creating different tables, views etc...

      All input is much appreciated!
