Hi,
As part of a feature, we are trying to save the current state of a work sheet as a new view. We are using the *rememberCustomViewAsync* API to save the work sheet. We have observed that the API blocks the Tableau UI (i.e. shows a spinner) until the view is created.
We looked into more options of saving the current work sheet and came across *saveAsync**() *method. This is a non UI blocking call. However this method doesn't provide an option to save the current state as a new view. Is there any ther way to save the work sheet as a new view without blocking the UI? Are there any plans of exposing new APIs in near feature?
Thanks in Advance,
Arjun
Hey Arjun,
I don't know of any coming plans to expose the API and it sounds like what you're trying to do may be a good candidate for an idea in our Ideas forum.
Thanks,
-Diego
