Montgomery TUG meeting for 2016 Viz Contest!

    Virginia Madden

First of all, I want to thank everyone for attending the recent Montgomery TUG meeting!  It was great fun meeting everyone, and I know I learned a lot!

I've been working trying to find us a place to get together to work on our submission to the Tableau Viz contest, but so far I haven't had any luck other than Starbuck's/Panera type locations.

If you're OK with those, then let's plan to get together next Saturday, December 17th.  We can start around 9:00 and go until 1:00 or can start around 2:00 and go until 6:00.  (I'm using a 4 hour spread based on Franca's estimate of how long it will take us.)  Please respond to me if you are interested in working on the Tableau Viz Contest submission and which time works better for you.  We'll go with the one that the majority of people choose.  I need to know no later than Wednesday, please.

In the meantime, here are some links about the contest:

I included this link of last year's winners to give us all an idea of Tableau is looking for in a winning viz.  We can be as creative as we want to be!

We will need to all look over the data and be prepared to come to the meeting with viz ideas and suggestions.  Samples are ok, too.  We're starting from scratch.

I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again!  This is going to be so much fun!
