# Problem in creating Histogram with Calulated field values

Hi All

I am trying to create a Histogram chart, and bins required for the histogram is from a calculated field. Below is details of the issue

Column 1: Transaction ID's

Column 2: Date and time of Transactions.

Column 3: Line number

 Transaction ID Date and Time Line 1072659180606022 21.11.2016 14:01:55 5001 1072659180600022 21.11.2016 14:02:49 5001 1072659180610022 21.11.2016 14:03:18 5001 1072659180597021 21.11.2016 14:04:27 5001 1072659180603021 21.11.2016 14:05:08 5001 1072659180591021 21.11.2016 14:07:17 5001 1072659180601021 21.11.2016 14:07:41 5001 1072659180588022 21.11.2016 14:08:10 5001 1072659180598022 21.11.2016 14:08:39 5001 1072659180595021 21.11.2016 14:10:24 5001 1072659180592022 21.11.2016 14:10:53 5001 1072659180602022 21.11.2016 14:11:45 5001

I am trying to trying to find out number of transactions that occurred with 0-10 sec, 10-20sec, 20-30 sec, 30-40,... in so on time intervals.

I used Lookup expression to find the difference in Time and in turn used the values to create the bin Values.

But the problem now is that i am not able to find the count within each bin.

Attached the work book for reference.

Hey Vineeth,

Have you tried adding a reference line to each bar?

This should give you something like this:

Cheers,

Matthias

Hello Matthias

Thank you, that was simple, I don't know why it didn't strike me.

I have a follow up question, Basically I was also trying to overlay the histogram with Normal Distribution curve. Can you let me know if this possible.

Thanks

Hey Vineeth,

Have you tried a dual axis of your current measure?

Change this measure from a bar to a line to get the result.

You can always attach your workbook in case this does not really work out so I can help!

Cheers,

Matthias

Hello Matthias Goossens

Sorry for the delayed response, have been traveling last week.

I tried what you suggested for using Dual axis but its not working as intended. Can you help me out.

I have attached TWBX

Regards.
