I have reviewed a lot of the Tableau reference materials, but I cannot figure out how to create one chart that contains multiple bar graphs. Basically, I have an Excel file with various measures plotted over time. I would like to create one chart that displays several of these measures together over time so that you can see how the categories of information compare to each other at different points in time. Every time I drag the measure categories to rows, it displays them as separate graphs. The different categories of information relate to the Census and so the data is tracked for the same years. I don't want to combine the measures, I just want to display the information so that say for the years 2002, 2007 and 2012, you can see how the different information categories compare.
Please let me know if you have any advice!
Thanks so much!
Is the solution in the Creating a Stacked Bar Chart Using Multiple Measures | Tableau Software article what you are looking for?
If not, can you please provide a packaged workbook (with any non-file data sources extracted) to show what you have so far?
