I am creating a dashboard for 2000 users who will have access to all the information about each other except names and ID of other users. I have experimented with user functions to create views which would enable a user to identify his/her data points and compare himself/herself with the remaining 1999 without revealing their identity.
I am using only one consolidated table in HP vertica database. Can this problem be solved without making and database level changes?
May be there's a way using LODs.
The user function will filter the user in the view and the LOD will let you calculate the values on a higher level despite the user filtered as long as the filter isn't added to the context.
