Many Thanks for your response. I am interested as to how you applied the "Top 5" filter as I can't see this in your Filters section. Could you tell me the steps you took? I can see the parameters, but I didn't think that these alone can do the "Top 5" selection?
It appears that you have encountered the same issue as I have - whereby if the previous/later months do not also have the same SKU in the top 5, then we do not see the sales. I want to be able to see the corresponding sales regardless of if they are in the top 5.
Many Thanks for your help here. The reason I am encountering issues, is because I am trying to view the data based only on the current month view - i.e. in November SKUs 5,6,7,8,9 were the top 5, I want to see the sales for October and December for SKUs 5,6,7,8,9 for comparison - it doesn't matter if these were not the top 5 in these months.
I am trying to present the data in column format as such:
Currently I am encountering 2 problems:
* In the above format, I can select the November top 5, but I can only see Oct & Dec sales if they also fall in the top 5, otherwise the value is zero as is the case in Norbert's file.
* It appears that when I run the top 5 in the same format as you have presented, the numbers are slightly different. This makes me suspect that Tableau is not basing the top 5 sales amounts on the selected month (November) alone - it is some kind of aggregate - but how this is being calculated, I am not quite sure - possibly the top 5 sales values across Oct, Nov, Dec?
I am wondering seeing as no-one has any solutions for my issue...is there a way that I can apply a filter from a previous worksheet to a current worksheet? I.e. if I filter the top 5 on November data, Can I in the following worksheet somehow apply the same skus to October data (without having to apply it manually)?.
Thanks a lot,
