# How to get the shared Dot count in Scatter Plot?

Hi,

I have employee data where i need to count the number of employees who share the same dot (two similar averages). Please find attached the twbx file for reference.

So, if the below data is to be considered then the

Count of Employees who share the averages (0.00, 0.00) should be 4,

Count of Employees who share the averages (1.50, 1.50) should be 1

and Count of Employees who share the averages (1.50, 2.00) should be 2

and so on.

Any kind of help greatly appreciated. Thanks !!!

Hi Michel, Thanks for your reply. I am looking for count of employees who have same values in Avg1 and Avg2.

If two employees have Avg1 and Avg2 as 1.50 and 2.00 then the count should be 2 and so on.

Hi AJ, Thanks for the reply. The above solution does not get the count of employees as desired. It shows the Final count as 2 for Employee John which is actually 1.

Hi,

Create a calculation Avg1+Avg2: [Avg1]+[AVg2]

Create another calculation named compare: if [Avg1]=[Avg2]  then [Avg1]+[AVg2] else 100 end.

now divide the Conmpare into bins. take the size of the bin as 1.

put your created bin in columns and drop the number of records in text . you will get the answer.

Hi Shasank, Thanks for your reply. Can you please share the version of the twbx file. One more thing i forgot to mention is that i need the output in Scatter plot with the Averages in X and Y axis as shown in Sheet 1 of my sample twbx file. Thanks!!!

• ###### 11. Re: How to get the shared Dot count in Scatter Plot?

Hi Norbert, Thanks for your reply. I need the output in Scatter plot with the Averages in X and Y axis as shown in Sheet 1 of my sample twbx file. Is there a way possible to implement the same in scatter plot without converting them to dimensions. Thanks!!!

Hi,

No bins, no calculated fields, no level of detail expressions, just drag and drop & setting pill options:

Avg1 and Avg2 are continuous (green pill) dimensions, and SUM(Number of Records) is used on Size.
