but did you create the tasks? If not, to create them, you can do it when you publish the Data Source ( a message should pop out requesting if you want to set an extract refresh)
Otherwise you go in Content-DataSource
Click on the data Source you want to set refreshes for and press on refresh schedules, click on new extract refresh and you set your task.

I do not know, I'm not an expert and only experience I have, is this one I shared.
Do you publish data sources which are saved extracts on your local machine? Does your data source actually keep up to date (meaning is it working)? Do you use the "run continuously " option on the online sync client (if yes, I do not and that might be a difference cause from what i understand the refreshes of extracts actually happen on the machine instead of Online)

Yes, i use "run continuously" and yes i published a data source with extracts on local machine. If you are saying that the extracts happens on my machine, so i should be seeing that my saved extracts on my machine should be showing a latest date? It's the original date when i did the extracts , as i seen it...what could be wrong???

This appears to be expected behavior if you are using the Tableau Online Sync Client (Tableau Bridge). If you have configured your refresh schedules to be refreshed using the sync client, they will not show up in the Tasks list. Only refreshes that are scheduled to refresh on Tableau Online will be visible in the Tasks list.
