Creating a dynamic peer group for analysis

I have a workbook with different tables based on survey answers from different companies and now I need to create a "benchmark" report.  What I would like to do is to be able to select a peer group of companies and compare it in the different tables with the answers of all the others.  So far my best idea is to create a column in the database called peer group and put either a 1 or 0 if the company is selected in the peer group and then drag it to the view but I would love to be able to automatize this since I will be creating a lot of benchmark reports with different peer groups.  I was thinking of some kind of dynamic filter but so far I haven't been able to make it work.

I've just started using tableau and now I'm faced with this challenge.  Hopefully someone can help.

      Thank you.
