Create a CONDITION filter on [a]. Drag [a] tp the filter shelf, and click the CONDITION tab. Click the "by formula" option under CONDITION, and then create a condition like this:
SUM(IF [d] = "q1" THEN 1 ELSE 0 END) > 0
SUM(IF [d] = "q2" THEN 1 ELSE 0 END) > 0
You may have to play with the syntax. I just typed that off the top of my head. But what this does is it gets any [a] value where there is at least one [d] = "q1" and one [d] = "q2"
