According to my experience and exposure, Excel and TDE are faster. Than no of Rows, having more columns slows down the performance of Tableau. (Rare cases)
Hiii Rajiv, But there is a little problem with excel, it can only enroll 10,48,575 rows. But what if i have to extend data rows. Say 1.1 million then what is the alternative of excel.Suppose i have to export 10 million rows in tableau, then how can i do this.
Try using CSV , Access.
or If you are interested in excel, I would suggest you to have multiple sheets with same data structure and use Union.
(I never got a chance to use Union, but its worth a try)
