    Spend in European format

    Dhananjay Singh

      Hi All,

I have spend in European format "1.200,20" and I want this to be "1,200.20". Is there any way to do that in tableau.

My Spend data is getting imported as string.

      Any help is really appreciated.

      Thanks

      DJ

          Hi DJ,

My suggestion is to have the data as 1200.20 in the data source / excel and change the number format in Tableau.

Click the triangle near your Measure and change the Format to European Locale from the list.

          Hope this helps.

            Hi Rajeev,

            Thanks for your reply.

Although, this is not the way I want to do this. If I change the format (1200.20) in data source then I can have any format in tableau I want.

I just want to know if there is any way to convert (1.200,20) format to (1200.20) in tableau. Output should be (1200.20) Because I have several files and I don't want to make the changes in data source files.

            Thanks

            DJ

Since you mention files, I assume you mean text files.

If so, you can change locale to a fitting European format:
