    Extract Comes back Empty

      Hi All,

We are having an interesting problem. We are published our extracts to Tableau server and running them on a schedule. We have a total of 15 extracts running, all connecting to the same Oracle database. They all connect to views in Oracle. 13 of those extracts appear to be working fine. 2 extracts are running and appear to be returning no data. Both extracts connect to the same view in Oracle, which seems to be a hint on what is going wrong, but the Oracle view has no errors. When working through Tableau Desktop and connecting to that same datasource, we are getting thousands of rows, so data does exist. Checking the backgrounder log files does not provide any error messages, in fact, it says it ran Succesfully. The line(s) like this

      2016-09-22 15:00:30.296 +0100 (Default,,,) pool-3-thread-1 : INFO  com.tableausoftware.model.workgroup.service.VqlSessionService - Storing to repository: SingleStudySubjectRecruitmentProgress/extract repoExtractId:64540 size:14293 (twb) + 104298 (guid={DE3ADA24-0602-4AE7-AAC1-D2F2F74ECC5A}) = 118591

Seem to be showing that the size of the file never changes, regardless of how many more or less records are in the source.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
