    Heat Map Border

    Randy Allan

I have the below heat map, but I am wondering if it's possible to put some sort of border around sections of the heat map based on time and day of week like you see in the second screenshot. I added this border manually in Microsoft Paint to demonstrate what I mean.

Or if there is a different way someone has conveyed this I'm open to suggestions.

          Randy,

The easiest way is with an area annotation over the heat map. (Pictured below). Simply right click on the heat map, choose Annotate and then Area. Then format to add the border, color and weight.

Unfortunately this will only allow you to create a square or rectangle area.  Anything else (as in your example), if possible, would be significantly more complex.
