The Data1 field contains a String with the tilde (~) as a delimiter. When I right click on this dimension and choose Split, I set it to All because I want every ~ to start a new column:
However it only returns "Data1 - Split1" as pictured above
To test this, I used some "dummy" fields using the same process, with a successful result:
Any ideas on why the Split function is not working in the first example?
Update: I was able to get the Split function to work after creating an extract - though I'd like to keep a live connection. Is this possible?
Another issue: I am reading and also experiencing a cap of 10 splits allowed in Tableau 9, is there a way that I can do more than 10 splits for a given String dimension?
