Since you are using AD, the Tableau Server Administrator will need to be a member of the AD domain and you'll need to log in using the AD credentials. This help article talks about this: Add an Administrator Account If you want to reset the admin account, check out the tabadmin reset command: Resetting the Administrator Password or Account | Tableau Software
Note: this is likely different from the RAU (Run As User) account.
Hope this helps!

Hi Pierre -
I saw you asked a similar question on a different thread, and I responded there. It appears that you are using an OEM version of Tableau Server. Wonderware's use of Tableau Server is actually quite special, and the way they handle authentication is different - they have modified and enhanced the process of adding an admin user and how one traditionally licenses a server. As a result, the "standard answers" you might be able to get hereon the Tableau forums won't apply to you.
You should get in touch with the Wonderware support team, who better understand how their customized licensing & "adding an admin user" implementation works. They have added some "magic" to the process that the denizens of this forum don't work with.
