If you use ASCII characters you can just copy and paste them in. As well as containing the Alpha-numeric characters, ASCII also contain characters that are up/down arrows (and other icons). As ASCII characters they can simply be copied into the text description and will show.
So copy and paste the below into the parameter.
btw you can also use these in formulas
and also in custom formatting

...I just searched in Google "ASCII down arrow"...and then went to one of the links
and then just copied and pasted them in.
I actually have a notepad (.txt) file, where I have all my most commonly-used ASCII characters (of this nature)...so I have a kind of quick-access repository.
