We're using the server URL to set a parameter in our workbook and getting mixed results.
Directly after the = symbol at the end of the URL, we put the ticket number string that we're looking for. There are several data sources that reference this same ticket number in the workbook. We use this parameter to filter the sheets of the dashboard down to the ticket we are concerned with. This works great sometimes!
In other cases though, we encounter the following problems:
1) Ticket is used to filter only some sheets down to the ticket number requested while others show a different ticket.
2) Ticket is used to filter only some sheets down to the ticket number requested while others show NO DATA (default view when ticket is not chosen)In almost all cases, a tableau refresh (using the tableau refresh icon at the bottom of the page) will correct the issue and show all sheets filtered to the correct ticket. When we manually enter the parameter ticket string into a box on the dashboard, it updates all sheets with no issue. For whatever reason, the URL seems to be the culprit. We are using Tableau Server 9.1.
Here is the format being used in the URL:
IncidentDashv2 = Folder name
IncidentDashboard = Name of Workbook
Chosen%20Ticket%20Number = Parameter Name in workbook
TRB000011996044 = Ticket number string
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
