Is it possible for you to replace the filters with parameters? If not I suggest you look into Action filters.
Thanks for your response.
1) I don't want to replace my quick filters with parameters since there will be a frequent update in my filter values.
2) Even if I consider changing my filters into parameters, how do I pass the value of parameters from one datasource to another data source. Since the data sources are separate individually & there is no blending between the two datasources.
My requirement is to have only filters in the first dashboard and the values selected by the end user needs to be passed on the second data source which is inturn used to display the viz on my second dashborad.
Parameters are one way to join datasources without any need to blend. But if this doesn't work for you as the filter options will change then it can be disregarded in this case.
Action filters might work as an alternative - they're another way to filter across data sources without any explicit join/blend.
Check some of these out:
An action filter can be displayed on a dashboard and look the same as a quick filter.
