Hey Gireesh Reddy,
On which platform are you trying to open this workbook? Reader? Desktop?
Are you sure that you only have one datasource? Take a look at the Data menu to double check.
Try it again with a simple excel sheet. If the problem continues, then attach the workbook so that someone can take a look at it.
Do you have the workbook and cant open it? or don't have the workbook?!
I would first open My Computer (assuming Windows) and check you have the E drive
Then assuming you do, can you follow the folders, is there a workbook there?
Assuming its an error opening the workbook, i would check which version it was created, and which version you have.
As Lenny helpfully suggests - then starting to think about packaged (twbx) vs not packaged (twb)
If you have a twb file and using reader - that wont work, for example.
The more information you can provide, the better
More information (from you) = better help (form us)
I have workbook in E:\ drive, but while trying to open it,it's showing that error message.I am using version 9.3 &the workbook has extension.twbx.
Next questions -
it's showing that error message
what is the error message?
I am using version 9.3
9.3 or 9.3.X? Release Notes | Tableau Software
Are you using Reader or Desktop?
And in which version was the workbook created, and by whom?
I get an error to.
I have a sneaking suspicion it was created in the beta 10 version
@lenny do you have 10 beta, could you confirm? (i dont have 10 beta)

Hi mark ,
Yes you are right when i tried to open with tableau 10 . it is opening and i did not receive any error.
We have an answer.
The workbook fault is caused because the workbook you downloaded was created in v10, which is currently in beta.
Because Tableau isn't backward compatible, we get the error.
You can sign up for the beta program here >> Tableau 10 Beta Program | Tableau Software
FYI - if you install the beta, it will become your default.
I would install 10 beta, then repair/ reinstall 9.3.5 (they can run side by side on the same machine). the last installed becomes the default, you have been warned
Thanks for the solution Mark........
you're welcome, glad we got it sorted for you
Gireesh, I have similar problem. I request you to help me here.
