It sounds like a many to many join. What are you joining on? Are you joining on Location AND Date? Is there only one temp record for each date and location?
That would indicate there is a problem with your join - I think you've accidentally created a cross join, whereby each record is artificially being joined multiple times.
Lets go back a stage -
What fields are in each table, and what is the relationship?
I assume you have a sales id, location, date and amount in one side, & location, date and temp in the other? (or something like that?)
Any examples you can provide would help, alot!
John and I both think the same issue - the join logic.
I would expect you to be joining the tables on at least 2 fields, if you have less, that's likely the culprit.
Thanks a lot. I added "date" to the join and it works perfectly now.
