Doesn't this goes against Tableau's core proposition which is give people canvas to create whatever they want?
What's the goal of validation? Standartization, avoid duplication or performance considerations?

My take on that - presentation can be whatever as long as it does not tax the Tableau Server or underlying databases so some of your items I find very valid (filters, hiding).
