We have a great lineup for the next San Diego Tableau User Group Meeting.
Alfredo Giron, Paola Ramirez, and Andrew Johnson from dataMares(Scripps Institution of Oceanography) will be showcasing some of the dashboards they have developed along with some useful techniques they've discovered along the way. In this session you will learn some new techniques to create stunning vizs by adding graphic design elements to standard tableau outputs. You will learn how to give your viz a personalized theme, by using the right colors and managing space better. We will also show you how to use custom shapes to represent your data points and even use them as filters. Finally, you will learn how to set a custom background and transform any image into an interactive infographic.
David Forman from Interactions Marketing will be demonstrating several design techniques for creating beautiful, functional, dashboards.
We'll follow this up with a discussion on dashboard design. If you have some Tableau dashboards you'd like to share, please bring your laptop and we can go over it in detail. We look forward to seeing you at Scripps!
