Is it happening in only 1 workbook or all? Can you replicate it in the sample workbooks?
And which version are you using?
I guess it could be pan and/or zoom related
And your resetting the map by toggling this?
I can easily move US to the left (click left and move) but as soon as I reset the map, then US moves back to the right.
I dont get this - are there 2 maps, on a dashboard?
Do you have extra layers?
The only other thing i can think of is try turning off/on
Any more screenshots or other information you can provide may help
Thanks a lot for your answer.
I am using V9.3 and I tried a couple of times this morning again :
When I open a new sheet, double click on latitude and longitude, everything goes well.
When i change from "automatic" or "symbols map" to "Filled map", then
a) either US and Canada move to the right and Europe moves to the left, see below
or for no reason
b) US and and Canada are moved a bit further to the left and are cut it 2- see below :
I'd like to center everything, and have "all US/Canada" to the left, nothing original :-) but as soon as I try to fix the map, it goes wrong again.
As you mentionned, i tried enabling / unabling accelerated graphics, it does not help.
Please share your workbook.
I suspect this issue is related to your field SOMME(Sessions)
Hi everyone and thanks for helping out.
After raising a case, here is the answer :
"by design Tableau Desktop centers the map where most of the data is concentrated. If different filters move the data displayed on the map to different locations, the related maps will be centered differently.
That being said, if the same map changes its aspect because of data shifting according to different filters, it is possible to manually center the map with the unexpected positioning and hide all the map controls. Doing so, different maps on a dashboard would be able to share the same aspect. Be aware that it will not be possible to search or pan and zoom on the maps without controls."
