I am using Tableau 9.2.8.
I am displaying a running total of my unique customer visits over a weeks time.
I count 373,075 total unique customer visits but my area chart report when I annotate a point at the highest point
displays 375,083.291784703:
Running Sum of Count of CSN along Table (Across):
<Running Sum of CNT(CSN)>
When I annotate an area I get 339,017.590651558:
Running Sum of Count of CSN along Table (Across): <Running Sum of CNT(CSN)>
If I annotate an area above the chart get 383,406.145892351!
My main question is why am I getting decimal points when I am counting whole numbers?
Thanks
Hi Jason, My guess is that you have decimals somewhere in your underlying data or calculations. Are you using other functions besides sum? Can you post a packaged workbook showing the issue? You can also remove the decimals by formatting the field in the view.
