A tricky but common question from Caredwen Foley during Maggie Goulder's presentation on ideation for data visualization this morning:
"Do you have any tips for applying these ideation principles for redesigning existing reports, when there are sometimes more constraints than exist when you're starting from scratch?"
Maggie suggested pushing the existing report aside and proceeding as through it didn't already exist, but I'd be curious to hear from others. What has helped you cast fresh eyes on an old report?
